The short version

75 Her stores the information needed to run the app, keep your challenge progress available, and let you share progress with friends you choose to add. This can include your profile details, daily task text, completion logs, friend connections, profile photo, and proof photos.

We don't show third-party ads in the app, sell your data, use your challenge content for advertising, or train AI models on your content. We use limited product analytics and advertising attribution so we can understand basic app usage, reliability, subscriptions, and whether our ads are working. Your challenge content is not public to everyone, but accepted friends may see the progress and content you share through the friends feature.

What we collect

  • Account and profile details, such as your name, age, friend code, app install ID, platform, and app version.
  • Challenge content, such as your daily task text, task colors, challenge start date, challenge length, completion logs, streak/progress history, and related activity records.
  • Photos you add to the app, such as your profile photo and task/progress proof photos. We store the image file plus technical details such as content type, file size, and upload date.
  • Friend connections, including friend requests, accepted friend relationships, and the account identifiers needed to show friends' progress to each other.
  • Subscription status and purchase events are managed by Apple and relayed to us through RevenueCat (our subscription provider) so we can tell whether you have an active subscription. We also send RevenueCat customer attributes such as your app install ID, app version, profile name, age, friend code, selected challenge, onboarding choices, and paywall/subscription context.
  • Usage, analytics, and attribution data, such as app installs, app opens, screens viewed, onboarding steps, paywall events, subscription conversion events, app version, platform, app install ID, AppsFlyer ID, device/app information, referral source, campaign/source data, and related event values.
  • Support messages, if you email us directly.
  • We do not collect your location, contacts, full photo library, or device fingerprints. We do not currently ask for App Tracking Transparency permission to access IDFA.

How we use your data

We use your data for app functionality: creating and maintaining your account, saving challenge progress, uploading and displaying photos you add, enabling friend discovery and friend sharing, processing subscriptions, handling Apple refund requests, providing support, protecting the service, understanding basic app usage, measuring app install and subscription conversion from ad campaigns, and fixing operational issues.

We do not use your photos, task text, or progress content for advertising attribution, ad targeting, cross-app tracking, or sale to data brokers.

Advertising attribution

We may advertise 75 Her on platforms such as TikTok. To understand whether those ads lead to app installs, app opens, trials, or subscriptions, we use advertising attribution and measurement tools. This can involve sharing limited app event data, identifiers, device and app information, campaign/source data, and subscription event values with attribution providers and advertising partners.

We do not share your challenge content, task text, photos, friend content, or private progress notes for ad targeting. Where platform privacy controls apply, such as Apple's App Tracking Transparency settings or AppsFlyer aggregated privacy settings, we handle advertising measurement according to those settings.

Photos and friend sharing

When you add a profile photo or proof photo in 75 Her, the app may store a copy locally on your device and upload a copy to our backend so the friends feature can work. Accepted friends can see your profile, daily tasks, completion status, and progress photos shown in the friends experience.

Other users may see limited profile details, such as your name, age, friend code, and profile image, when friend discovery or friend-code search is used. Your task text, proof photos, and progress history are intended for accepted friends, not the general public.

Service providers

We use backend and storage providers, including Convex and Cloudflare R2, to store and deliver app data and images. We use RevenueCat to validate Apple subscription receipts, manage customer attributes, tell the app whether your subscription is active, and help respond to Apple refund requests. For refund handling, RevenueCat may share subscription, purchase delivery, account identifier, and app usage/consumption information with Apple so Apple can evaluate the request. Apple processes App Store purchases and refund requests under Apple's own terms and privacy policy.

We use PostHog for limited product analytics, such as app install, screen, and feature events tied to an app install ID.

We use AppsFlyer for mobile attribution and advertising measurement, including app install, app open, and subscription conversion events. AppsFlyer may send conversion postbacks to advertising partners such as TikTok so we can measure and optimize our campaigns.

These providers process data for us so the app can function. We do not authorize them to sell your personal data or use your challenge content, photos, or task text for their own advertising.

Permissions we ask for

  • Camera— used only when you tap to take a proof photo of a daily task. We don't access the camera in the background.
  • Photo Library— used only when you choose to pick an image (for a task, profile photo, or wallpaper) or save a generated wallpaper. We don't scan your library. Only the image you choose for an app feature is used or uploaded.
  • Notifications — used to send the reminders you opt into. The notification text is generated locally on your device.

All three are optional. The app keeps working if you decline.

Children's privacy

75 Her is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from anyone under 13.

Your rights

You can delete local photos or restart your challenge from inside the app. You can also request deletion of your account and server data, including user-generated content associated with your account, by emailing us. Some data may be retained where required by law, for security, or for legitimate business records.

For deletion, privacy, subscription, or support requests, email freya@frederickjames.net and we'll handle it manually.

Safety and reports

If another user shares content through 75 Her that is abusive, unlawful, invasive, or otherwise inappropriate, email us at freya@frederickjames.net so we can review and respond.

Changes

If we update this policy, the date at the top of this page will change and the new version takes effect when published. Continued use of the app after that date counts as acceptance.
